Our 7-step air duct cleaning process

1. Pre-inspection with camera. We send a video camera through key supply and return runs and show you what you're starting with.
2. HEPA negative-air containment. A truck-mounted or portable HEPA vacuum puts the entire duct system under negative pressure, so everything we loosen gets captured — nothing blown back into the home.
3. Agitation. Rotating brushes and compressed-air whips scrub every reachable foot of duct — supply trunks, branches, returns, boots, and the air handler cabinet.
4. Register and grille cleaning. Every supply register and return grille pulled, washed, and re-installed.
5. Blower compartment & coil rinse. The blower wheel, motor housing, and the supply side of the evaporator coil are cleaned — usually the single dirtiest point in a Florida system.
6. EPA-registered antimicrobial fog. Applied to all interior duct surfaces to kill remaining mold spores and bacteria.
7. Post-inspection + photo report. Same camera, same runs. You see the before-and-after.

What about filter changes?

For Tampa homes we generally recommend a MERV 8–11 pleated filter changed every 60–90 days — MERV 13 only if your system is designed for the extra static pressure. High-MERV filters in undersized return systems are one of the most common causes of coil freezing and blower failure we see.
