Tim Hawk's family-run Wesley Chapel HVAC team is hiring experienced service and install technicians. Competitive commission, install bonuses, predictable schedule, paid factory training — and zero upsell pressure on every call.
Tampa Bay has a lot of HVAC companies hiring. Here is exactly what makes this one different — straight from the crew who have been here the longest.
We dispatch out of 27022 Foamflower Blvd in Wesley Chapel — not a call center in Tampa, not a private-equity roll-up. Tim knows every tech by name, and every tech knows Tim's pager number.
Real hours, real shifts. Mon–Fri day routes, Saturday rotation for urgent no-cool calls. Paid on the work you complete — no 12-hour ride-alongs with a closer, no sales quota on every house call.
Company van, fuel card, iPad, gauges, uniforms, and laundered shirts provided. You show up with your boots and your brain — we cover the rest.
Service Tech → Lead Tech → Crew Chief → Install Crew Chief. We promote from inside first. Our current leads came up through these ranks with us.
Competitive commission structure, install & completion bonuses, paid time off, paid holidays, factory training reimbursement, and help covering EPA 608 / Manual-J testing fees. Weekly direct-deposit pay, every Friday.
Our 700+ five-star reviews come from doing the right thing on every call. You'll never be asked to sell a customer something they don't need. Ever.

Diagnose and repair residential split systems, heat pumps, and mini-splits across Pasco, Hillsborough and Polk. Average 4-6 calls per day from a Wesley Chapel home base. You own your van, your iPad, and your routes.
Run or help on residential changeouts, new-construction air handlers, heat pump swaps and ductwork touch-ups. We'll slot you where your experience fits and grow you toward crew chief.
7:30am, Foamflower Blvd. Coffee, huddle, routes on the whiteboard. Dispatch hands you your first three stops — usually a no-cool call in Wesley Chapel, a maintenance in Land O' Lakes, and a second-opinion quote somewhere in New Tampa. You grab your iPad, check refrigerant in the van, and roll by 8.
Mid-morning. First call is in Wesley Chapel — homeowner says the unit is blowing warm. You diagnose a failed capacitor, show her the readings, quote $180 written, swap it out, and she is cool again in 40 minutes. She hands you a cold water. She will probably leave a Google review before you are back in the van.
Lunch. Half the crew meets at a Publix parking lot in Lutz or a taco spot off BBD. No policy that says you have to. Just how it tends to go.
Afternoon. A Lakeland install check-in, a thermostat swap, a capacitor pop in Zephyrhills. Honest work, written quotes, no pressure to upsell a system she does not need. If the call turns into a full replacement, great — the install crew takes the handoff.
5pm. Paperwork in the iPad, back to Foamflower, keys on the hook. Saturday rotation hits every 4-5 weeks. Otherwise Saturday is yours.
That is the day. No commission closer riding shotgun, no script, no 14-hour push. Just techs who like the trade, doing the trade.
Florida HVAC is changing fast — low-GWP refrigerants, variable-speed equipment, new code. We keep every tech current, on the clock, with real training paid for by the company.
Test prep, study materials, and reimbursement for Type II and Universal certifications.
Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem and Mitsubishi factory programs — travel and hours paid.
Load calculation and duct design training for install techs moving toward crew chief.
R-454B and R-32 handling, startup and safety — every tech gets current on the new equipment entering FL homes.
Ladder, electrical, attic-heat, and jobsite safety — refreshed every two years on the clock.
How we write estimates, explain repairs to homeowners, and hand off a finished job. The stuff that makes our reviews 5-star.
"Been here six years. Paid on the work I complete, not on what I can talk someone into — I fix stuff right and the customers write the reviews. Tim has my back every time."
"Came in as an install tech and three years later I'm running my own crew. They actually train you here — factory schools, Manual-J classes, real on-the-job mentorship. Not just thrown on a roof."
"Every call goes to the same small rotation of techs. Customers remember our names. That's why they keep calling back — and why I've got no plans to work anywhere else."
